FIRST CHRISTMAS
The first recorded
date of Christmas being celebrated on December
25th was in 336AD, during the
time of the Roman Emperor Constantine (First Christian Roman Emperor). A few
years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus Christ
would be celebrated on the 25th December.
OLDEST
CHURCH IN INDIA
The oldest church in India is located at Palayur in Thrissur
district in Kerela and was established in 52 A.D by St. Thomas, one of the
twelve apostles of Jesus Christ.
THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS
Christmas is a time
for festivity and merry making and more than that it is a time for
contemplation of eternal things. The Christmas spirit is a spirit of giving and
forgiving.

Independence Day, celebrated
annually on the 15th of
August is a day we got our freedom. It is a day to remember that thousands of
our freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for us to achieve independence.
Golden Bead integrates the learning of these important events in our country’s
history and allows the children to present their learning to parents and
guests. This day is especially important as it creates a strong cultural bond
to our country, and the leaders who took the initiative to lead us to
independence.
