Golden Bead is a Montessori School for children between the age of 2 1/2 years (Pre-Primary) and 12years (Primary).The School was started with the aim of providing a healthy environment for children to engage in interactive learning, carefully prepared by the trained Montessori educator. Independence Day






Golden Bead children celebrated Independence Day on Monday, Aug 16 2010. The whole school was decorated with the tricolours of Indian National Flag and it was a day of music, drama and patriotism.


Some of the children dressed up as freedom fighters and spoke of the bravery of these past heroes : Dhanya and Trisha were Rani Laxmibai, Hriday and Nikita were Bhagat Singh, Ramiro was Gandhiji. Others portrayed their views on India through chart presentations.
The Hindustani Music group sang the well known patriotic songs - Chodon Kal ki Baatein and Saare Jahaan Se Achcha.

The elementary children made a map of India using tri-coloured salt with Aparna Aunty's help and Rehaan, Trisha, Thea and Saniya performed a small skit on National Unity. The day ended with the children pondering on whether it was good or bad that the British came to India!
